Technical Weaving

Our Suzhou weaving facility runs rapier and air-jet looms capable of producing plain, twill, ripstop, dobby, and jacquard constructions in nylon, polyester, recycled fibers, and blends. We work from 30D to 600D — from ultralight shell fabrics to heavy-duty workwear base constructions.

All greige fabric is produced under strict tension and density controls, with full batch traceability from yarn lot to finished roll. Minimum order quantities start at 1,000 meters per colorway for custom constructions.

Dyeing & Finishing

We partner exclusively with Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified dyehouses in Jiangsu province, ensuring every color process meets the chemistry standards demanded by European and Japanese buyers. Our finishing library includes DWR (C6 and fluorine-free options), moisture-wicking treatments, anti-pilling, calendering, and heat-bonding preparation.

We are chemistry-flexible — meaning we can work within your brand's restricted substance list (RSL), accommodate bluesign® chemistry preferences, and provide full MSDS documentation for all finishing agents used in your order.

Custom Development

Have a performance benchmark but no fabric spec yet? Our in-house development team works directly with your buyers, sourcing managers, or R&D teams to translate end-use requirements into a technical brief — then samples within 30 days. We support ASTM, ISO, and JIS test standards and can arrange third-party testing through SGS, Intertek, or Bureau Veritas.

Typical development projects include trail running shell fabrics, recycled-content uniform base layers, stretch woven pant fabrics for workwear, and breathable membrane-lamination substrates for waterproof outerwear. We bring the engineering. You bring the vision.

Certified Quality. Verifiable at Every Step.

International buyers choose Changlian because our certifications aren't badges — they're embedded into our production workflow. GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certification covers our recycled nylon and polyester supply chain, providing the chain-of-custody documentation your sustainability team needs for consumer-facing claims. Our Oeko-Tex dyeing partnerships ensure no harmful substances enter your fabric at the finishing stage.

We maintain a live certification dashboard shared with each active client, so your compliance team always has access to up-to-date scope certificates, test reports, and supplier declarations — without chasing emails.

GRS Certified

Full chain-of-custody for recycled nylon (rPA6, rPA66) and recycled polyester (rPET) from post-consumer and post-industrial sources. Scope certificate available on request.

Oeko-Tex Partners

All dyeing and wet finishing is conducted at Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified facilities. Harmful substance screening included with every finishing order.

RSL Flexible

We accommodate brand-specific restricted substance lists, including ZDHC MRSL Level 1 and 2 compliance. Chemistry substitution available for DWR and softener finishes.

Trusted by Brands Across Three Continents

Our clients are sourcing managers, product developers, and founders who've been burned by inconsistent overseas suppliers before. They come to Changlian because they need a manufacturer that communicates in their language — technically and professionally — and delivers what was sampled, every time.

"Changlian is the only China-based mill I've worked with in 15 years of sourcing that actually understands performance fabric engineering. Their development team caught a yarn twist issue in our ripstop spec before we even saw the first sample. That's the kind of expertise you can't fake."

J. Reynolds — Head of Materials Sourcing, Outdoor Apparel Brand, Portland, Oregon

"We switched to Changlian for our recycled uniform fabric program after our previous supplier couldn't get GRS documentation right. Within two seasons, Changlian had our rPET twill fully certified and our compliance team couldn't be happier. Lead times are honest. Communication is excellent."

M. Kowalski — Procurement Director, Corporate Uniform Manufacturer, Hamburg, Germany

"Japanese buyers don't easily trust overseas mills. But Changlian's Taiwanese management background, their attention to detail in QC, and the fact that they work within JIS test frameworks made the decision straightforward. We've been ordering our stretch woven base fabrics from them for four years without a single critical defect batch."

Built on Taiwanese Standards. Powered by Chinese Scale.

Suzhou Changlian Textile was founded over two decades ago by a team of Taiwanese textile engineers who saw a clear opportunity: bring the quality discipline and customer-service culture of Taiwan's world-class textile industry to the manufacturing scale and cost efficiency of mainland China. That thesis has held for twenty years.

Our facility in Suzhou — one of China's most established textile manufacturing corridors — operates under Taiwanese management with bilingual technical staff fluent in the vocabulary of international brand sourcing. We don't export commodity fabrics. We build long-term material partnerships with brands that care about what's in their product.

We accept customized orders only. This isn't a policy — it's a philosophy. We exist to solve specific fabric problems, not to move yardage. If you need a mill that will treat your spec with the same seriousness you put into writing it, you've found the right partner.

How We Work With New Clients

Our intake process is designed for professional buyers. No generic quotes. No weeks of silence. From your first email to a physical sample in your hands, here is what a typical new-client engagement looks like at Changlian.

01 — Brief

Send us your technical brief, performance targets, or reference fabric. Our development team reviews your inquiry within 48 hours and responds with targeted clarifying questions — not a generic capabilities deck.

02 — Sample

We develop lab dips and greige samples within 14 days, followed by finished samples within 30 days of your spec confirmation. All samples come with a full technical data sheet including construction, weight, and test results.

03 — Production

Once samples are approved, production orders are confirmed with a clear timeline, inline QC checkpoints, and a third-party inspection option before shipment. Certificates and test reports are delivered with your shipment documents.

Your Next Fabric Starts With a Conversation

Whether you're developing a new performance shell for next season's collection, transitioning your uniform program to recycled content, or looking for a more reliable manufacturing partner than your current mill — we want to hear what you're trying to build. Send us your spec or describe your challenge. We'll respond with substance.

Changlian works with brands that expect more from their mill. If that's you, let's begin.
